263 m² of studio, built for commercial production. Fully equipped with a basic Aputure lighting kit included in the day rate. Extended Aputure rental available on request.
For additional equipment we work with a dedicated rental partner, and you are free to arrange your own equipment or bring it yourself. A detailed equipment list is available on request.

About
Bastiaan Woudt is a photographer whose editorial work appears in Numéro Paris, Harper's Bazaar, British Vogue, and New York Magazine. His commercial clients include Chanel and Dior, among others. 1605 Studio is the space he built for those productions.
It is the studio he could not find elsewhere. Ceiling height, light quality, floor surface, equipment — every decision was made by someone who still uses the space for his own work. The studio is part of 1605 Collective, a creative house with its own publishing, gallery and photography practice.
What you rent is what we work in ourselves: fully equipped, quiet, predictable, and easy to work in.

Ten free spots at the door, a gated area, and overflow space on the industrial estate.
Loading door
Ground floor access for larger kit, sets and props. Loading directly from van to shoot area.
Thirty minutes from Amsterdam
Industrial zone in Alkmaar, easily accessible from the A9 and N242. No city-centre hassle.
Catering partners
Four trusted partners covering lunch, healthy, high-end and Asian. On request, or bring your own.
Thirty minutes from Amsterdam via the A9 or N242. Ten free parking spots directly in front of the studio, plus a gated area and overflow on the industrial estate. Loading door on the ground floor for vans.
Intercity to Alkmaar Station. From there a fifteen-minute taxi or bus ride to Hazenkoog. We are happy to arrange pickup for crews arriving without a car.
Aaron or Bastiaan meets the crew at the loading door. Coffee, tea and water are ready. Set up can start immediately.

Rates
All rates are all-in. Editorial days are hosted by Bastiaan. Commercial, video and film days include studio manager Aaron on site.
Applied to the day rate. Half day: 60% of day rate, not available for editorial.
